It’s not easy putting together your own mini bike. There are a lot of factors to consider and steps to be taken before you are completely satisfied with the mini bike you are assembling. Follow these simple steps when you are ready to assemble your bike.

Step 1: The Bikes Frame– Either you purchase a ready-made frame for your mini bike assembly or you make one from scratch. If you want to have a specific bike frame, then go to a local bike custom shop and have a frame made to your specifications. You can model your mini bike to look like a mini dirt bike, a mini chopper, or a pocket bike.

Step 2: A Suitable Engine– When shaping your bikes frame, make sure that you measure the engine which will be installed on your bike. Go for an engine that you think will be suitable for your mini bike. if you wish to purchase an engine that’s brand new go for a higher horse powered engine. But if you plan on looking for second-hand engines or purchasing engines from a junk shop or motorbike graveyard then be ready to rummage through some engines that have been stocked for a long time. When purchasing an engine from a graveyard or junkyard, always hire a mechanic to look into the engines you are eyeing to purchase. The mechanic can easily tell which ones are in good condition and which ones are no good.

Step 3: Purchasing the Parts to be Installed– Make sure that when you are purchasing the parts for your mini bike that you always purchase brand new ones or slightly used ones. Opting to purchase brand new parts will be a huge advantage in terms of durability and how long it would last. The good thing about putting together your own bike is that you can shop for these parts yourself. You can choose the best parts that you wish to be installed on your bike. Remember to always inquire and consult either the shop or a mechanic if the parts you wish to purchase or installed are compatible with the engine or with the frame.

Step 4: Final Assembly and Installation– Finally you are ready to assemble your mini bike. if you purchased a mini bike assembly kit then just follow the instructions provided. Look for a flat surface and lay down all the parts and tools you need. First, lay the bike frame, then try and fit the bike’s engine. If it doesn’t quite fit you just need to do a little sanding or perhaps cutting in order to properly fit the engine. Then after assembling all the parts, i.e. the gas tank, the handle bars, the front and rear shocks, the tires, wiring, headlights etc, try to start up your bike. Make sure that all the parts you’ve installed are in the right place and that they are installed securely. It’s best that you hire a mechanic to help out in the assembly or maybe to consult on during the assembly if you prefer to put it all together by yourself. After you started up and tested your bike. Have a mechanic look at it just to make sure that you have installed and put together everything correctly.
