I had heard a lot about this place from some of my friends, but the number of times I’ve been let down by their suggestions didn’t leave much room for anticipation.

When I reached the top of the stairs, I was greeted by a rather big a** door. I couldn’t really hear anything from the outside but it all changed the moment the door opened.

The music was loud, it was dark and the center stage lit up with blue laser lights.

It was 8:30 p.m. and not many were on the dance floor. We got ourselves a table on the right-hand side of the dance floor. The music was loud enough for us to speak in a higher pitch than normal. Some may find this unpleasant, but it sure as hell set the mood!

The bar counter was big enough to hold almost any brand of liquor you could ask for. It looked elegant enough for a potential display picture.

While we were walking around the place, we came across the bull! People went batsh*t crazy wanting to ride it. Looking at other people ride the bull just made everyone else want to get on top of it.

The entire place had cowboy hats strewn around which you could pick and put on your head. There also is a selfie wall decorated with cowboy hats and guns. Yes, guns! You could take them off the wall, click pictures but don’t forget to put them back on. Don’t worry, the guns are not loaded.

It was almost 9 when placed our order.

Do you like nachos? Then you are going to love this amazing combo of the Indo-Western Paneer Tikka Nachos. The paneer is soft and will literally melt in your mouth leaving you craving for more. The paneer keeps it Indian while the nachos take care of the Western part. Pretty much East meets West!

Non-veg lovers can go for the Assorted Chicken Sliders. But we’d recommend the burgers. They are a mix of small sized burgers which can easily be popped into your mouth. The four burgers will take your taste buds for a tour. One’s spicy, the other is sweet and the others are a combination of both. This is a must try!

Chicken lovers can also check out the Mexican Chicken Steak. The perfectly cooked chicken came steaming hot with veggies and some noodles. The steak looked so succulent, I had to literally force myself from diving in before clicking a picture first. The mayonnaise was a good accompaniment.

The Mexican chicken was a perfect combo with chicken, mayonnaise, and some pasta. It was a bit different but good nonetheless.

Next up was the Island Combo Martini. Now the vodka and salt tasted just fine, but the mixture could’ve been better. While some might enjoy it, the taste of vodka was too strong making it taste like a run-of-the-mill cocktail.

We also tried the Grapefruit Margherita Cocktail and it was was a perfect accompaniment for the food we had been eating so far. The flavours were mixed well with the hint of grapefruit tantalizing our taste buds with every sip.

Wanting to try something else, I ordered the Penne in Creamy Pesto Sauce.

Most dishes with sauce tend to thicken and lose their taste by the time they reach the plate but this one was true to its name. The Pesto sauce retained its creaminess. The Mexican spices were an add on and the cheese just made it all better.

Who doesn’t love a good dessert? The Mexican fudge brownie delight is just what you need after you have stuffed yourself with burgers and pasta. It’s, soft, it’s sweet, it looks like a cake and it’s Mexican! Well, it might be lacking a bit on the Mexican part but it is better than your regular brownie!

It was about 9:30 now and we could see people grooving to the music. The central dance floor was now full. I couldn’t stay in my seat any longer and decided to join the party.

The music just kept getting better and better and then the DJ played “Saat samundar paar” and all hell broke loose! While I was dancing my butt off, the screen right across the bar counter caught my attention. It was Govinda and Raveena Tandon dancing to Major Lazer’s “Lean On”! As hilarious as it was, it didn’t stop people from trying to match up to their dance moves. I’m quite sure it made it to the Snapchat stories of the clubgoers.

If you are looking for a place to chill over a weekend or even a weekday– Old Wild West is the place to be. They also have karaoke nights!

The music, the ambience, the food, the crowd, the service makes it the perfect place to chill with friends.
