After a recent parody video of Baahubali featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat went viral, comes another Bollywood-politics mashup, this time with Akhilesh Yadav. The UP CM is shown as Shahrukh Khan’s character in Raees in a parody video directed by Faizan Siddiqui.
The video has the upcoming state Assembly Elections as its theme and features Narendra Modi as cop Nawazuddin Siddiqui trying to shut him down for his ‘dhandha’. Akhilesh is shown as a fearless, tireless ‘hero’ fighting all odds to reign supreme in the state. Rahul Gandhi, whose recently joined hands with Akhilesh to fight the BJP-BSP alliance, is shown as his loyal sidekick.
The video is well put-together with clips from Akhilesh Yadav’s speeches and campaigns and even features Dimple Yadav (Akhilesh’s wife) as his love interest. In one scene, Akhilesh even delivers SRK’’s famous dialogue from the film—“agar katne ka darr hota na, toh patang nahi chadaataa, firki pakadtaa,” in the actor’s voice of course.
The video also pokes fun at the recent family feud between the Yadavs. But then we would be giving everything away. Watch it here:
