The two South-Africans Chris Morris and Kagiso Rabada will be playing their last match in IPL 10 today as they will be leaving for national duties on May 7. Chris Morris was benched in the previous match against Gujarat Lions and he should make his comeback in today’s encounter.
Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are playing like absolute bosses and have got two big wins for their side. Pant scored a thrilling 97 runs off 43 balls and was well supported by Samson’s 61 runs off 31 balls. These two youngsters have kept Delhi’s hopes alive to qualify for the playoffs.
The bowling has been the main concern for Delhi as they keep conceding runs by the bucket and don’t pick up wickets. Mohammed Shami has been very expensive in the previous match leaking 40 runs off three overs. Amit Mishra will also be expected to bowl better than the last match; he conceded 23 runs in two overs.
Mumbai Indians’ star bowler Jasprit Bumrah won Mumbai the second-last match in the super over. All eyes in today’s encounter will be on him as he will be expected to bowl well and stop the top order of Delhi Daredevils.
Lasith Malinga and Mitchell McClenaghan will have to bowl a lot better today. In the previous match, McClenaghan conceded 50 runs in 4 overs and Malinga conceded 33 runs and picked up 2 wickets in his quota of four overs.
Jos Buttler and Parthiv Patel will have to negotiate the pace of Pat Cummins and Shami to give Mumbai a good start. Both players have played well individually but not in tandem. This is a good opportunity to rectify that error.
