Meet India’s Superwoman: Mostly Sane

Prajakta Koli never intended to be a YouTube sensation. She started off as an RJ and soon switched to YouTube and began posting blogs, including challenge completions, lists, and Indian cultural commentary.

Although Prajakta’s videos are meant to be humorous and for the purposes of entertainment, the Youtuber has also created a video titled Shameless which slams body shamers in today’s society that is obsessed with youthfulness and beauty. Last year, Koli had also created a video on depression on World Mental Health Day.

Her page has over 200,000 subscribers and over 22 million views to her YouTube channel. Her most popular video, “10 Hilarious Words Delhi People Use | Latest Funny Videos has grossed more than 1 million cumulative views since she has a brilliant sense of humour. She has also collaborated with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan while a radio DJ in India on a short Instagram video that went viral. She also blogs at Mostly Sane.

“All my content is observational and I try to keep it real and clean so that everyone enjoys it,” she says, adding that she wants to cater to both the youth and the elderly. Koli scripts her own content and then shoots them at her home. She gets help from two of her good friends, who assist her with the camerawork and editing.
What sets Koli apart from her peers (not counting her wicked sense of humour) is her fresh, original content. Mark my words, this girl is a desi superwoman in the making.
