Remembering Harper Lee

Exactly one year ago today, Lee passed away at the age of 89


Harper Lee, author of acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning bestseller To Kill a Mockingbird died on this day in 2016. The American classic–about an African-American man tried for the rape of a white woman during times of segregation–is one of the greatest novels of our time. Her second novel, Go Set a Watchman, was released in 2015 and was written before To Kill a Mockingbird. It portrays the life of the Finch family a few years later during the Civil Rights Movement.
