It’s that time of the year again when a sporting tournament takes over prime time television. Yes, the Indian Premier League (IPL) is around the corner, and we have just witnessed the neelaami that took place in Royal Challengers Bangalore home city–Bengaluru. A lot was expected at today’s auction, like eight teams fighting over Ben Stokes. And that’s what happened, Stokes was finally bought by Rising Pune Super Giants for 14.5 crore rupees, which is three crores more than the overall budget Mumbai Indians have for this year’s auction.
