Pranati Rai Prakash, a final year student of fashion communication in NIFT Mumbai was one of the top 5 finalist of Femina Miss India 2015. She bagged 3 titles; Miss Talented, Miss Beautiful Legs and Miss Fashion Icon in Miss India 2015. Her family was based in Patna, being an army kid she spent her childhood in more than one city, but most of her teenage years were spent in Dehradun. She did her 10th and 12th from Notre Dame Academy, Patna for which she says that it has played an important role in shaping her personality. Her journey as a model started in 2012 when she bagged the title of Miss May Queen Ball. After her win, there was no looking back for her as she won Miss Alcheringa 2013 and the same year she was 1st runner-up at Miss Waves. In 2014, she was 1st runner-up at Miss NDA and in 2015 she won ‘She’s Got the Look’. However, this was just the beginning which helped her recognize her strengths. She is a mesmerizing belly dancer and has innate acting skills. Owing to the degree she is currently pursuing, she is also an excellent designer and has designed for Miss India 2015.
Modelling is something that she enjoys doing whereas, her dreams are to be Miss World and to be an actor-cum-star. The art of performing and entertaining people, fashion, the fame and the camera is what drives her towards her dreams. She has worked in many television commercials and is a popular and in-demand face for the same.
Her life-changing moment was being a Femina Miss India finalist. Thereon, from just Pranati she became a public figure, Pranati Rai Prakash. Googling herself was a matter of great pride for her. Since then, she has judged many fashion shows and is currently working on many styling projects. Actress and singer Priyanka Chopra is her inspiration.
Despite all her achievements and talents, Pranati is very much committed to her college. Her talents lie in multiple fields like dance, acting, modeling and styling but she figured a way out of her dilemma and decided to stick to styling till she’s a graduate. After her graduation she wants to shift her focus on just one and excel in that particular field. Therefore, she will be grooming herself to be an actor after her degree.
Although, she cannot guarantee any Bollywood debut as of now, she hopes to feature in one soon. When asked about where she sees herself in 5 years from now, her immediate answer was, “probably on the stage of Filmfare awards.”
