Desserts and chocolates are a match made in heaven. Not a single person with taste buds can deny that perfect combination. Chocolates can be incorporated in hundreds of desserts both easy and complicated. If the chocolate mousse available in confectionaries make you salivate, then well this is for you. Making this chocolate mousse is so easy peasy it takes only 5 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
- 2 bars of Dairy Milk, 1 bar of Bournville (I’m using both milk and dark chocolates, you can choose any chocolate bar you like).
- 2 cans of fresh cream.
- 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Vanilla essence.
- Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup (optional).
i. Take a microwave safe dish and pour the cream into it. Add the sugar and a little bit of vanilla essence and microwave the mixture for 1 minute.
ii. Before taking the mixture out, take another bowl for mixing and put your milk chocolate bars in it.
iii. Take the cream mixture out and pour it in the bowl of chocolates. Use a beater and slowly mix all the ingredients until it softens and a thickens a bit. Add 2 squirts of Hershey’s syrup to make your mousse sweeter. Take out some glasses and slowly pour the mousse mixture into them.
iv. Put the glasses in the deep freezer for about 2 hours.
v. In the meantime, grate the Bournville dark chocolate and keep it aside for garnishing.
vi. Once the mousse is chilled and ready, top it with the grated Bournville.
Who knew making chocolate mousse was that easy? You can play around with the flavor by adding strawberry cream or if you’re a coffee lover, just add one teaspoon of pure coffee in the chocolate mixture for a caffeine kick.
