A 30-year-old woman in the Kanpur Dehat district delivered a baby in a bank where she was in line to withdraw cash, reports the Hindustan Times. The newborn child is healthy and the mother is recuperating say reports. Sarvesha, the mother, had been waiting in line to withdraw cash when she went to labour at 4 p.m. She was with her mother-in-law at Punjab National Bank’s Jhinjhak branch when the incident occurred.
Her mother-in-law said that Sarvesha is weak but healthy. Sarvesha’s husband had died in an accident three months earlier and she was at the bank to withdraw money from the compensation amount allotted to her by the government. She had been standing in line the second time over two consecutive days.
