A national level kabaddi player Sukhwinder Narhwal (24) was shot dead in Rohtak, Haryana by two unidentified men on a scooter. The chilling incident was caught on a CCTV camera installed in a nearby house. Five bullets were fired at Narhwal’s head, and one hit him in the chest.
According to the footage which has been seized by the police, the victim is seen walking along a road talking on his mobile phone when two unidentified men on a scooter suddenly approach him from the opposite direction and start shooting at him. Sukhvinder was shot thrice on his forehead and once on his chest. The murderers are even seen checking to see if he’s dead before fleeing the scene.
Sukhwinder was taken to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), where he was declared dead on arrival.
“We have got some vital clues in the case, but the details cannot be divulged at this point of time. We hope to catch the culprits soon,” said Rohtak SP Shashank Anand, according to the Indian Express.
