What Makes You Feel More Joyful?

There's a lot of joy to be had in the world, even in a single moment

Be More Joyful
This is the easiest way I know to attract more abundance, serendipity, and contentment into your life.

Life Can Creep Up On You

It’s easy to get heard up in the mundane, everyday activities that we all have to do. It’s easy to get trapped on a treadmill of monotony without even realizing it. And then one day, to wake up and realize that life is a bit boring, and to wonder where the joy and laughter were gone.

Yes, certain things have to get done. Work, the school run, the shopping and food prep, parent-teacher meetings, that training you have to do for work, the accounts, etc. But very often we do them without thinking. We go through the motors of the every day, trance-like.

And when we do wake up and wonder where the joy and laughter went, we do not remember how to bring it back.

I may be painting a grim picture here – maybe I have gone to an extreme to prove a point, but you may be on the road to this place, even if you’ve not gotten that far yet.

What I have found is that when the joy and laughter bring in our life, even just a little bit, life becomes harder, we have to work at things more, and the little moments of magical coincidences become fewer and less frequent.

Live, Love And Laugh
I believe that too:

  • Feel more connected
  • Feel more spiritual
  • Be more intuitive
  • Create more abundance
  • Really engage with the universe,
  • Attract the good things (and the magic) to us,

We need to get back to joy: Remember, it, find it, and invite more joyfulness in.

A friend told me that some years ago she had heard the author Marianne Williamson speak and that she had said, “healing happens one ‘aha’ moment at a time”. My immediate response was that I had found healing and magic happens one hahaha moment at a time. The more we laugh and are joyful, the more magic and healing we attract into our lives.

When I’m with magical friends who make me happy and joyful, AMAZING things happen theater ticket upgrades, snow on demand (seriously, I was surprised too!), Hearing from someone out of the blue, to mention just a few.

So, how about we look for moments of joy, we learn to laugh at ourselves a little, or we actively seek to bring more joy in our day, week or month, and see what changes happen?

What Makes you Feel More Joyful?
I’ve recently started dancing again after quite a break, and change to a very different style of dance. But I can not tell you the difference it has made in my life, the joy and laughter, friendships and happiness it has introduced. So I have to ask, what have you always loved to do? Can you re-visit that, or introduce something new?

  • Take a book to the park
  • Go to the cinema
  • Have a picnic
  • Paddle in a stream …

There’s a lot of joy to be had in the world, even in a single moment. And for some reason, the lines from Blake’s poem Auguries of Innocence keep coming to mind, so I feel the need to share here. Maybe life is all about learning to take a time out of that everyday trance, to see the beauty in another, to take joy from a moment in time, to be truly present to the world …

To see a World in a Grain of Sand

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand

And Eternity in an hour
