Clayton Hogermeer
Clayton Hogermeer is a prolific singer songwriter based in Mumbai. He is heavily influenced by the 60’s folk movement, mostly bob Dylan and Paul Simon, and his style can be categorized as folk/Americana. He’s been performing in and around the city for the last 4 years and has penned over 50 songs about life, relationships and contemporary times.

Aria Nanji
⁠⁠⁠Aria Nanji is a music production and engineering student at Berklee college of music in Boston. She’s been heavily influenced by artists like, The Beatles, John Mayer, Dido, Lene Marlin and Eva Cassidy. People often say Aria’s voice reflects depth and maturity beyond her years. She hopes to perform as an independent artist in India and around the world.

Poetry on the Big Mic #87

Big Mic invites you to yet another night of razzle dazzle poetic pertinence, this time with a little twist. This edition is hosted by Eloise Lisboa

We will be opening the evening with a showing of an excerpt of the recent documentary about the extraordinary Maya Angelou, And Still I Rise.

Our featured poet for the night will be Hussain Haidry, of the viral video ‘Hindustani Musalmaan’.

Then we will dive into the open mic, so bring your finest verse in any language! Everyone will be paired off with another poet so that after the show, we will head up to The Cuckoo Club Cafe and give detailed feedback, one-on-one.

Insight into a Musical Collaboration

TSM in association with the NCPA Band Baja Series (promoting young collaborations) presents “An Insight into a musical collaboration”.

Conducted by members of the band ‘Samarpan’ – Ojas Adhiya (tabla), Vishal Dhumal (keyboards) and Gautam Sharma (percussion). This lecture concert will give an insight into the world of musical collaborations – between Indian and western instruments, rhythm and melody/ harmony instruments and how such informal collaborations led to the creation of the band. The three artists will also demonstrate a short musical conversation for the audience.
