Gharana Gen Next – An Ode to the Magic of Indian Classical Music

Indian Classical Music since ancient times has been a fusion of different gharanas or styles of music. Gharanas were formed by maestros of previous generations who settled and started teaching students in a particular city or area for several generations. This gave birth to a ‘Gharana’ which came to be recognized by the name of the place or the maestro and thus a unique style evolved.
