Shraddha Kapoor Looks Menacing As Dawood’s Younger Sister

The actor's first look in Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai

Shraddha Kapoor revealed the first teaser from her upcoming film — Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai where she plays Haseena Parkar, younger sister of dreaded underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Her appearance in the poster is a far cry from her pretty, bubbly roles in the past and looks more gritty and realistic. Apoorva Lakhia of Shootout at Lokhandwala fame will direct the film with Sharddha’s sibling Siddhanth Kapoor playing Dawood. The film will also feature Sharman Joshi and will release on July 14, 2016.

Shraddha Kapoor is looking for a hit after delivering two back-to-back flops with Rock On 2 and Ok Jaanu. She tells India Today: “Haseena as a film will be different because it is the first time I’m playing a grey character.” She will play the role of Haseena Parkar from the ages of 15-45. Haseena Ibrahim Parkar passed away at the age of 51 in 2014. It was reported that she had around 150 properties across Mumbai and had undeclared assets worth Rs.5,000 crores.
