Peon Joins StartUp, Makes Rs. 50 Lakh Off ESOPS

This story will warm your hearts. This is the story of how a peon, Shyam Kumar, who was the first employee of payment gateway startup CitrusPay, made Rs. 50 lakh thanks to ESOPS (employee stock options). He joined the company in 2010 at a salary of Rs. 8,000/-. November 26, 2016 was when the first installment of Rs. 26 lakh was deposited in his account. Read the whole story here.

Mahindra Holidays Doesn’t Give Man Holiday For 6 Years, Has to Pay Rs. 2 Lakh As Fine

Andheri resident Nigel D’Souza was repeatedly denied ‘free holidays’ for six years by Mahindra Holidays. He paid a total amount of Rs 1,73,559 as membership fees but could never manage to get his holiday. After the company offered him a ‘refund’ of Rs 12,367,  D’Souza took them to court. Two years later, District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum ruled in his favour. Read the whole story here.
