Mumbai Project to Land on the Moon?

Saumil Vaidya, a former student of Swami Vivekananda International School in Borivali, was declared a winner along with another participant from Italy in TeamIndus’s Lab2Moon contest. His project is called Team Electrostatics Active Radiation Shield (EARS). If he wins, his experiment will be flown to the moon. Read more here.

Another Marine Drive in Mumbai?

The Mumbai Port Trust is planning a 7-km long Marine Drive between Mazagaon Docks and Wadala. This is expected to be twice as long as the Queen’s Necklace. A marina and a garden are expected to be constructed as well. Read more here.

The Uttarakhand High Court has declared rivers Ganga and Yamuna as the ‘First Living Entity of India’. After this decision, both rivers will be entitled to all the rights available to humans as per the Indian Constitution.
