The sequel to SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning is the most anticipated movie of the year. People across the country still want to know ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?’ Meanwhile, a new parody video of the film starring Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat is doing the rounds.
With the state’s Assembly Elections around the corner, political strategists and marketing teams are coming up with new promotional techniques to reach out to the audience. Within a week the video has notched up over 4,83,000 views, 13,000 reactions and likes and over 8,600 shares.
In the video, CM Harish Rawat is shown as Baahubali saving Uttarakhand, whereas PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are just awestruck at his actions. Rawat is projecting himself as the saviour of the state and is seen lifting the weight of the state on his shoulder.
The actual film had actor Prabhas playing the role of Amrendra Bahubali who uproots the massive Shiv Shrine and carries it to his mother, projecting his love, strength, and devotion all in one act.
The video was uploaded on Facebook page UP/UK live became an instant hit; however Rawat has denied any involvement. He told ABP News, that he had no prior knowledge of the video and said, “I am a servant of Uttarakhand”. We don’t really know whether it helps in serving Rawat’s political agenda or not, but the clip will definitely leave you in splits.
